1. I really liked this movie! It was a great choice. I really liked how motivating it was. It made me want to go the extra mile with everything I do. I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone. This movie was not only a great way to incorporate the meaning of teamwork, but also a way to show the meaning of how true dedication pays off.
2. Miracle on Ice is a story about how the underdog team overcame many challenges and won the olympic gold medal. This true story is a great way to better understand how hard work and dedication really pays off. During this time in 1970 Russia was predicted to win the gold medal. Also, at this time it was the peak of the cold war so Russia thought they had this olympic win in the bag. America pushed themselves and really committed to the sport. USA shocked everyone with their huge win and they became one of the most respected hockey teams after that.
3. A similar event that is a bit more depressing is 9/11. Though it was a horrific event in our history it really showed how America can come as one and try to change our society drastically. This event brought many people together, and I feel like America as a whole saw how we could really evolve into one nation.

ReplyDeleteAlong with Casey, I also believe that the events of 9/11 brought our nation together. Though this day and ones to follow may have been horrible, the support of our people brought America together as a nation. Also, Casey said that this movie inspired her to go the extra mile in everything she does. After watching this movie, I can 100% agree with her. The movie was so powerful and had still inspires me after many days of seeing it.

I believe in my life and if I work hard enough at something and put my mind to it, that I can do anything, and I believe that with all people in the world. Miracle is a great representation of hard working Americans becoming successful by just working hard and going that extra mile.
